First we cut and squeezed our fresh lemons, made a simple syrup and carefully mixed in ice and water.
HEY! I am not sure where this next picture came from, but as I was saying, we mixed our FRESH lemonade, went outside and waited.
...and waited. And waited. and yelled "fresh lemonade. Just 25 dollars a cup!" why nobody would buy 25 dollar lemonade from a stinky little boy with dirty fingernails is beyond me. I would have stopped. Especially when I saw him sitting there...waiting...and bummed...and waiting...watching the ice melt...
And just as he was about to retire, suddenly a van full of children pulled up! We were in business! He was so excited we took a picture of his first customers.
Thank goodness for cousins!
And by the way, thanks to Jude, Lily and Riley who were Jack's first emloyees! he is still trying to figure out how to divy up the $3.37 that they collected!
