Me and my addiction

They say the first step is to admit that you have a problem. Well, folks, I have a problem. I usually start "using" late at night when my husband goes to bed. I sometimes do it first thing in the morning. It relaxes me, it makes me feel good and helps me unwind after a long day. I have tried to stop, but it is so hard.

I am addicted to...

That's right, Webkinz. It started out as an innocent curiosity. for those of you without preschoolers or older kids, webkinz are little stuffed animals that you "adopt" (your parents buy for you) and you register them online and you are responsible for their happiness, healthfulness, and feeding them. They even have a handy little gauge which measures each. You can also play games which gives you "money" to buy your furry friend anything from a new bed to a bathtub, food, toysetc etc....

At first, I was logging on in Jack's name just to check on his animals. I didn't want Jack to forget to feed "buddy" "flippy" and "krusty" so I would log in to check in on them. Wierd, I know, but I felt so responsible! Well, from there I started playing games. ONLY so I could buy food. Really.

Well now I can't stop. Color Storm, Cash Cow, and Home Before Dark. Those are my vices. I can't help myself. I wait until I put the kids to bed, then I start. Just tonight I got an all time high score of 2395 on Cash Cow. That is like 75 kinz kash! How exciting is that?!?

So be it. But "our" webkinz are happy, healthy, and not hungry. I know I am not the only one. Does anyone else play...or is it just me?!? Just admit it. You'll fell better. Now I have to go. (and play)
