He would sit at the table for about 30 seconds, scribble a line or two, chew the ends of all of the markers, and say, "I'm DOOONE!" and hop down. To this day he still isn't much of a coloring kind of kid.
So much to my suprise, I sat Riley down the other day with some washable markers (learned my lesson when Jack had permanant marker on his face for a week) and some paper and she went to work. She must have sat there for 40 minutes. She would scribble up the whole paper, then get another piece and start the process again.
I finally got a kid to color with!
did I mention she also likes to eat the markers?!?
She eats with her left hand, colors with the right. I'm hoping the right hand wins. I'm not sure I can teach a lefty how to write.
ALL DONE! Pictures (and face and hands) are beautiful!

That is oh so sweet!!
She looks like you and Uncle Aaron in those pictures! Hmmmm...
It is nice to have coloring girls. Now get a drawer ready for all the artwork she'll bring to you. And if you try and sneak it in the trash can, she'll find it. Even under the coffee grounds and dirty diapers.
very cute. she is just so darn cute... i can't help myself
