We are off to the beach in the morning. We'll drive to Swarthmore, PA (just outside Philly) to see the Klines and Saturday morning we will head "down the shore". That is the way you are supposed to say it when you are actually from the east cost. sounds grammatically incorrect to me. God willing, we will be sittin' on the beach by lunchtime Saturday.
Jack is beside himself. He made a paper chain last month and he has been pulling one piece off every day, and today we have one ring left.
Jack: Tomorrow is the best day EVER!
Me: No, tomorrow is going to be a LOOOOOONG day in the car.
Jack: No, Mommy, tomorrow is the day we get to play at the beach.
Me: The beach is far, far away and we have to drive for two days to get there.
Jack: I'll call Papaw. He can get his airplane and just take us there real fast.
Me: Ummmm...I'm not riding in that airplane.
Jack: It's ok, Mommy, I've been a copilot for a LONG LONG time.
Me: super.
So needless to say we have a long day ahead of us. The other issue is that Riley thinks Dora and Boots live at the beach and I am hoping she forgets that when they aren't there to greet us.
