Aw....Mom!!!

I was enjoying a RARE moment of peace and quiet when I suddenly realized it had lasted waaaaay to long. I listened for the giggling and found them in the closet in Riley's room.

I stood and listened for a few minutes and DON'T I WISH I had turned on the video. They had collected all the dolls and furniture from the dollhouse and were playing 'night-time" in the darkness of the closet. Jack was being the Daddy and was telling Riley to "Turn the TV off and make me some ice cream and then it's BEDTIME!" HAHAHAHAHA...I was nearly in tears. Anyway, i jerked the door open and freaked them out. They shrieked and giggled. It was cute and it always makes me happy to see them playing together.

The funniest thing to me was the look that came across Jack's face when he realized he was ON CAMERA playing dolls with Riley. It breaks my heart just a little that he is growing up so fast, and I am sad that he is starting to be self-conscious about what/who he plays with even if he IS having a good time. I thought this shot said a thousand words. Most important....Aw...Mom....don't tell anybody...

NO, Steve...I don't let him play dolls all day long...

Playing with dolls is just fine. When Henry is 5, and Jack is 10, then they can play dolls together :)

The pictures crack me up.....they are great! I think it is too cute that they play together...no matter what it is. I am sure Riley plays cars with Jack, why shouldn't Jack play dolls with Riley! Sshhh, don't tell Tom.

Miss you guys!

...when my James was 2 he wanted Malibu Barbie for his birthday! The neighbors bought it for him (his dad was not happy and tried to tell everyone James wanted it because it came with a DOLPHIN) haha! -- James walked around stroking her long blonde hair saying "she has bee-yoo-tee-full hair"--hey, he could have asked for a KEN doll--not that there's anything wrong with that! :-)

No worries--my boys also had a kitchen and served me many plastic/playdoh meals (men make great chefs too!)--and now I serve those plastic meals to Oogah! :-)

XOXO "TeeTee"

My son has never been interested in dolls. But neither in fact has my daughter!
