Jack and I had an opportunity to go to Alaska Acres(sounds exotic, eh? ) which is a nursing home in Avondale. My friend Dianne from work organized our department to "adopt" this NH for Christmas. She got a request from every patient there and then anyone from work who wanted to participate could buy a gift and deliver them for Christmas.
I thought this would be a good opportunity for Jack to see that Christmas is not about what you get, but what you can give to others. That was probably lost on him, but I do think he had a good time anyway. I think they really appreciated the gifts and it was a good time.
Jack and Jude trying to decide if they will participate.
This is who Jack wanted to give his present to. (he is a sucker for purty hair)
Lily and Jack "helping" open presents
And last but not least. "Miss Alice" who was 107 years old. That's right. 107. She was too cute. She was holding jack's hand and saying "babies have such sweet little hands" Needless to say Jack had to set her straight. "yes ma'am but Riley Belle is a baby and I am a big boy." I jerked him out of there before he could ruin her moment.
So anyway, Thank you Dianne! Jack and I had a great day and you made a lot of people feel very happy and special.
