The Whos in Whoville

My Mom and I took the kids and cousins to see Horton Hears a Who this past weekend. I figured the reason that I didn't really like the movie is because I never really liked all the Dr. Seuss books. Never enjoyed them as a kid, never liked reading them as a babysitter(c'mon, you know we parents don't read books that long to our kids,) and I am almost embarrassed to say that there is not a Dr. Seuss book in our house. I now realize that I have always held an irrational phobia of "The Who's." I don't know why. I have never really liked the Grinch Stole Christmas (all those creepy little Who's in Whoville) and while watching the movie I thought Horton and his pals were absolutely adorable, but cut back to Whoville, and I was looking at my watch for the movie to end. They are pointy little elf-like creatures with too big heads and buggy eyes. Just kinda creepy.

That being said, I have come to the startling realization that one of my offspring bears a striking resemblance to Cindy-Lou-Who. And that pretty little face isn't the least bit creepy, now is it?
