My friend dianne, who has sent 7 children to kindergarten, gave me this book to read to Jack before his first day of school. It was hard for me to get through. I know in my heart he will be just fine at school, but he is my BABY BOY and it is hard to see him growing up so fast. I was just holding his fat little newborn self just minutes ago, it seems like. Now he's headed of to school. My heart is breaking, but I am so proud of him for being so excited and brave.
As I was reading this book to him and choking up the whole time, he looked at me and said, uh...Mom...why are your eyes leaking?" That boy does crack me up.
Steve took our picture...only because he wants proof that he isn't the only one crying.
Have a good day baby boy. I promise I won't call you that in front of your class.
ps..I'll miss you.

I LOVE THAT BOOK!!!!! mom gave it to me quite a few years ago. it's so adorable. lauren can't hardly read it. she's the ernie in my family
Ah, this KILLS me! I was reading that book to the girls the other day and totally cried all through it. So, how was his first day??

My son just turned 2, but i can already see how fast time flies...and i am NOT looking forward to kindergarten.
