Every Hero Needs a Cause

This was the Slogan for our big race.
It seems like yesterday that Jack was a baby. And this year we did our first 5K! Granted...we walked, and it may have been more of a 4K...but we did it!
It was a cold rainy morning. He ran into my room at 6:45 ready to go. I have to admit, if he weren't going with me, I would have pulled the covers back over my head.
But how could you say no to this?

We had so much fun!

Here he is explaining to the girl that he didnt win.
"Why are you giving me a medal if I didn't win?"
We had a blast!

He has had all kinds of "Daddy time" these days. From T-Ball, LEGO's and Star Wars. I have become the annoying one who wants to practice numbers and letters every afternoon when school's out. I have officially taken a back seat to the "Cool Dad."

I have to admit I feel a little left out.

So the big day arrived and we spent the day together and we both had a great time. I am so thankful to be his Mom. He is a happy fun-loving little dude and I have so much fun with him. We had a blast and laughs all day long. I hope my "Little Hero" still wants to hang out with me for many years to come...
