Happy Birthday Baby Girl

Our baby girl is 2 years old. How did that happen?!? Where did the time go? She is a bright little piece of sunshine that makes everyone around her happy. I wish I could bottle her personality right now because I fear the teenage years. (Because I WAS a teenager about...um...6 or 7 years ago..) She is happy, healthy and beautiful and we love her to pieces.
Anyway, like all good parents we had her birthday party about 2 weeks late so her grandparents could come from NYC to celebrate with us.Needless to say, she had a ball.

She picked a princess cake, of course. All of her cousins(well the ones in the USA, anyway)were here to help blow out candles.

When I first found out I was having a girl, I will admit that I was a little disappointed. Of course, I was happy and thankful she was healthy, but What in the world was I suppose to do with a GIRL?!? I grew up cutting the hair off my sister's Barbies and playing football with the boys on recess. To this day, I am not really a "Girlie-Girl" and I wasn't sure I would be good at raising a girl kidlet.

Apparently, NATURE reigns over NURTURE in this case and somehow I have a very prissy girl. She received 2 princess/ballerina/Cinderella dress up thingys (see?!?) for her birthday and has worn one of them daily. It is a fight to leave the house without it.
Here she is trying to get in the Dollhouse (thank you teetee & oogah)She now wants to "live in theeuuur"

Eating a pretend ice cream cone in yet another princess dress...

And then, there is this one I took just yesterday when we came home from the hospital. Well it feels like yesterday, anyway. I love you Baby Girl. Thank you for making my life a happier (and more prissy) place. My prayer for you is many more happy birthdays filled with friends, family and love. (and PULEEASE stop screeching at your brother)
