When we moved into our new house, the one thing that bothered me was the fireplace hearth. It is made of stone and I have imagined the kids crashing into it. Much to my surprise, it was Riley, not Jack who "broke in" the hearth.
She was apparently jumping on the couch(for the record, Mommy was at work. The hired help...ahem...DADDY...not Mommy...DADDY) was at home with the kids. She missed the couch and fell backwards onto the stone. Steve picked her up and saw that she had lacerated her head. Steve is quite used to this by now, I think Jack has had stitches 3 times as well as a few head x-rays, so we know when it is time to head to the ER.
So he left Jack with a neighbor (who we have known for about 3 weeks, now) and took Riley on her first field trip to the ER. She ended up with some staples and a headache, and we are very thankful it wasn't any worse. We decided we should get a punch card for the ER. you get a hole punched for every visit, your 5th visit is free!
DONT LOOK AT THE PICTURE IF YOU GET GROSSED OUT EASILY!

Yikes! Those staples almost do me in, and I can handle gross pretty well...
Tell Riley to come see Jo-jo. She needs me!
Poor Baby :(
Sweet baby girl....poor thing! So you say it happened on Daddy's watch, huh?
I found your blog through Henry's. I hope you don't mind that I am lurking around. It sounds like despite the crashes, everything is going good. By the way, beautiful house.
Give the kids hugs and kisses from us.
My poor little Riley!! I'm just glad she is okay :)
You do need a punch card.
Cause' I am guessing that this won't be your last trip to the ER..................................................
