Veterans Day
It is Veterans Day and unfortunately for a lot of us, it is nothing more than an inconvenient day that the banks and post offices are closed and (if they are lucky) the kids are home from school.
I just wanted to take the time to recognize the day for what it is and to thank those who have served our country.
I am proud to say that my 2 Grandpas, my Dad and (currently) my cousin are all Veterans.
The current situation in Iraq/Afganistan and the recent election showed us that we as Americans differ greatly in our views on the war. Whether we agree with the cause or not, I think those who serve and protect our country deserve our deepest gratitude and respect.
Thank you, Veterans past and present. We appreciate the sacrifices you have made to keep our families and our country safe.

yup.
I was at a school yesterday that had the most powerful Remembrance Day assembly I've ever seen. I was so blessed to see the kids really understanding what we are Remembering. Too cute today, making Hunter stand quietly for two minutes... he did so well.
hey mollie!!! i love thisisreverb. i found him thru pioneer woman, and i just adore his site!! i also love the concept of his church. my kinda place ;)
i'd love to be pals!! i added you to my (addiction)blog roll. :):)
and thanks for posting something for veterans day. yesterday i was sick to my ears by 1pm hearing people moan and groan that they didn't get mail. or people just plain forgetting. it was really dissapointing. its like, they expect the country to bend over backwards for them... the election, war, protection, rights, economy, blah blah... and yet... you can't remember ONE day a year to say thank you? sigh.
