Ocean City Boardwalk

Ocean City has a great boardwalk filled with the traditional fun...amusement park, caramel corn, t-shirt shops and mini-golf to name a few.
We stay on the opposite end of the boardwalk where it is quiet and peaceful(my IDEAL vacation) and I hope this doesn't qualify me for the meanest mom in the world, but if I could I'd stay away from the "carnival" end of the boardwalk if I could. Steve takes Jack every AM to play mini-golf and we do one family night and thankfully...that's all the excitement I have to take :)
The kids LOVE the rides. Obviously from these pictures, one of them likes it better than the other.

"Uh...Not so sure about this.."

"No, really...Hello??? Anyone??? Can I get some help, here???"

Wheeeee!!!!!

Not sure why, but my kids are oddly obsessed with "Mr. Taffy" He is a boardwalk icon and you would think the kids met Elvis...or Michael Jackson...anyway...
we even have a 3 ft tall Mr. Taffy (Um...thank you Oogah???) that lives in Jack's room (and apparently comes alive at night and tells stories)

Jack liked the ride but was mad when daddy wouldn't pass up and/or crash into the other cars. I'll admit he gets his "aggressive" driving style (read: road rage) honestly from his Mama...

Thanks for letting us share our vacation with you. It was a wonderful time that we look forward to all year, then it zooms by in minutes. Just how vacations should be, and just how memories are made!

What wonderful "family" memories your kids will have! Awesome pics. Your kids are so stinkin' adorable.

Unfortunately they were out of the 10' Mr. Taffy at the time of 'lil Mr. Taffy's adoption. Of course he tells stories at night. He has led an interesting, albeit sticky life...all that being pulled in one direction and the other. And then there is that whole "wrap him up in wax paper" traumatic experience which requires him to talk out his "issues" to an understanding ear in the quiet of Jacks bedroom. PTTPS (Post Traumatic Taffy Pulled Syndrome) is nothing to laugh at.
